Live Video: Recording (2)
Any effects that you’ve applied to your live video are not recorded when you click the record button. Only the input from the camera itself is recorded.

When you click the Stop button to stop recording, Videator replaces the live video with the recorded video. All of the effects that were applied to the live video are applied to the recorded video.

In addition, if you are
mirroring the live video when you are recording, Videator adds a Transform effect to make the video recording look mirrored.

You can edit your recorded video by
deleting sections, adding other video or still images, and adding sound tracks.

To save your recording to a Videator document, choose Save or Save As from the File menu. You can also save your recording by itself (not as part of a Videator document) by choosing Tools->Add movie to flix. This will copy the temporary video file to your
Video Library (flix). If you close the document window without saving or exporting, your recording is gone.

To save your recording as a video file with effects applied, see
Exporting Video.

Remember, these files can be huge. Ten seconds of recording at the default settings creates a 184 MB file.
